Summer Tour Of Love (In the Pacific Northwest)

Two of our favorite couples, The Lawlers and The Owens set their dates to get hitched, so we scheduled tour around these 2 momentous occasions in the Northwest! This was a Tour of Love!

6/18/11 - Mendocino, CA - The Mendocino Hotel
A sold-out home show with our sister (or should I say brother?) band, Foxglove!

6/23/11 - McKinleyville, CA - Six Rivers Brew
Yes, it's true, this is a Brew With A View...

6/29/11 - Richland, WA - Bookwalter Winery
This was a rosy-cheeked and very musical Monko family reunion!

6/30/11 - Sandpoint, ID - Di Luna's Cafe
Special thank you to Beth Pederson(of Wild Roses) and the lovely staff for making us feel so welcome. We can't wait for our next trip up north so we can hang out with the lovely ladies of Di Luna's again!

7/8/11 - Missoula, MT - The Top Hat Lounge
Family Friendly Fridays at The Top Hat promote bringing your baby to the bar, which proved to be a very entertaining view from the stage! Thanks to the Montucky crew for always making our stay in Montana (and Kentucky, for that matter) so fun!

7/14/11 - Friday Harbor, WA (San Juan Island) - The Rumor Mill
Our visits to Friday Harbor are always so full, the moment we disembark the ferry. This time we got to eat duck eggs, fresh bread from the new bakery in town, visit the new pub and, as always, catch up with our dear friend (and photographer) Joan Benny. The Rumor Mill show was full of familiar faces... it's beginning to feel like home away from home!

7/15/11 - Port Townsend, WA - Sirens Pub
Two ferry rides down from San Juan Island, Port Townsend is always a fun show. When visiting this lovely town, don't forget your umbrella...it is bound to rain (seashells, apparently).

7/16/11 - Tacoma, WA - The Mandolin Cafe
Yet another ferry ride put us back on the main land and we found ourselves at The Mandolin Cafe. Our show celebrated the grand re-opening of this wonderful cafe. This place is a jewel in Tacoma, and we are happy that the doors are staying open! We hope to keep returning again and again.

7/17/11 - Astoria, OR - Fort George Brewery
Making our way south, we crossed over into Oregon and landed in a mason jar full of yummy micro-brew.

7/20/11 -Eugene, OR - Sam Bond's Garage W/ Langhorn Slim
We were honored to get to open for Langhorn Slim and his rockin' band. The crowd was packed tight... and sat on the floor just below the stage during our set. Not a soul was sitting by the end of Langhorn's set, that's for sure!

7/21/11 - Davis, CA - Rominger West Winery
Surrounded by wine barrels and tasters, a Happy Thursday it truly was.

7/23/11 - Placerville, CA - The Cozmic Cafe W/ Misner & Smith
2 Nor-Cal Folkie duos at a very groovy cafe... This is always a favorite co-bill!
